All In – The Poker Movie, the award-winning documentary on the growth of poker over the past decade, premieres on cable television on Show time, Wednesday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The documentary, created by the filmmaker Douglas tirola, features in-depth research, archive footage, and interviews with today’s poker celebrities, such as Phil hellmuth and Chris Moneymaker. The film is billed as “the story of the worldwide poker boom that started in underground New York clubs and continued to be played in homes and casinos around the world”.

Unlike many failed poker-themed films, All In – The Poker Movie was praised by the poker media and even received an award at CineVegas Film Festival. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a preview of the trailer.

In an interview with PokerNews last year, Tirola discussed the inspiration for the film and the lengthy development process caused by the events of Black Friday.

Said Tirola, “I became fascinated by the story of how poker made this comeback and how something that had been part of American culture for so long was sort of broken down – something you’d be more of. likely to find in a nursing home or community center We have tried to tell this story of what I like to call “the tipping point story of poker”.
