Dhruv Sharma, President of the Federation of Cable TV Entrepreneurs, said: “Rule 5 (b) of the National Broadcasting Rules, 2052 BS made it compulsory to obtain a license for the distribution of the signal. Broadcasters and distributors are two different things. IPTV did this without dropping the license fees for the distribution of the signal.

He said the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology lost tens of millions of rupees in telecom services due to the broadcast of channels when internet service providers offered free bundled IPTV packages. and distributed Internet services.
